Sweeney’s in Schuylerville To Add Dinner Service
The popular breakfast eatery will introduce a dinner menu starting May 27
Sweeney’s in Schuylerville is expanding to include a new, all American dinner menu starting May 27, 2021. The popular Schuylerville eatery – formerly called Eli’s – was purchased by Saratoga natives, Amanda and Ed Bergin in 2016. They have since changed the name and moved a few doors down from the original location to a bigger, brighter space that boasts two dining rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and chic new farmhouse-style décor. They are located in the heart of downtown Schuylerville at 106 Broad Street.
The first official night of dinner service starts Thursday, May 27, and their regular dinner hours will be Thursdays 4-8PM and Fridays/Saturdays 4-9PM. Reservations are not required.
The new menu will include items like burgers, chicken parmesan, bourbon glazed salmon, their Reuben (customer favorite), hot turkey dinner, salads, gyro, French onion soup, house made pretzels, buffalo chicken wing dip and a rotating dessert menu by professional pastry chef, Amanda Plante. Similar to their breakfast menu, there will also be several gluten-free options for customers to choose from and a full kids’ menu.
“It was always our goal to eventually transition to dinner service,” says Plante, who also runs the day-to-day operations alongside Executive Chef, Courtney Lloyd. “We chose to open now as we saw an opportunity to provide Schuylerville with a place to take their families for a home cooked meal without breaking the bank.”
The beloved breakfast joint is known best for its massive pancakes, lunch specials, fresh desserts, and friendly hometown service. They also have a bar (serving beer, wine, and curated collection of mixed drinks), catering service, and seasonal specialties like holiday pies, cocoa bombs and cookie kits.
