Spring Cleanup: Hanging Tree Branches

Safely Remove Dangerous Hanging Tree Branches ASAP!

We had 2 huge pine trees that started dropping huge branches this winter-too close to our pool! So we hired my client, Jason Swett, to help us get them down. Jason and his wife Jessica bought a home with me two years ago and we’ve keep in touch since. They have two adorable boys that also love to visit our chickens.

Jason came over with all his equipment last Sunday. He climbed the trees with his chainsaw and cut all the hanging tree branches off one by one, while my husband held a rope attached to each one to help guide them down to the ground. These trees are 50′ tall!

Then, once all the branches were off, he cut the trunks starting from the top in 8′ sections. Again, with my husband guiding the rope to bring them down with out knocking Jason out of the tree, or landing down on my husband…or pool…or house!

I had an open house to go to that day and was glad to leave – it was very scary to watch. But by the time I got home, the job was (safely!) finished, and all those dangerous limbs were in a huge pile, ready for pick up. It really was incredible!
