Meet the Crew Monday:
Tara Garrett, Residential Sales Team
Favorite local eats?
One of my favorite places to eat these days is Druthers. They started making wood fired pizzas, the Savory being my new favorite, and they make the best beer cheese dip around. If I’m not in the mood for pizza, I order the Mac n Cheese. It’s never let me down!
I love anything winter! I’ve been skiing since I was 7 and I’d definitely never pass up any time on the ice. I also make jewelry when I have time. It’s my creative outlet.
Fun fact about yourself?
I played a murder victim on the former Court TV show Psychic Detectives. It was a re-enactment of a murder that happened in the Colonie Center parking lot in the 70’s. We got to work with the Colonie Police Dept. It wasn’t my 1st or last acting gig, but it was the most fun and interesting by far.
Favorite vacation spot?
Of all the places I’ve been I continue to crave the shores of Rhode Island. I’m in love with the charm Newport and the rich history, but can’t stay away from the beaches. History is also one of the reasons I love Saratoga Springs so much.
Favorite thing about fall in Saratoga?
All the festivals and the holiday decorations. Saratoga is amazing for the holidays!
Most interesting/surprising job you’ve had (besides real estate)?
I have had quite a few odd jobs over the years; I’m a bit of a workaholic. I’d say that my most surprising job was working as the assistant director of the construction division at a large contracting firm.
What is your dream house must-have?
I absolutely need a large deck overlooking a great backyard. I have the backyard and we are working on the deck.
