Grant Cottage State Historic Site Seeking Tour Guides

Volunteer orientation event Saturday, May 13, 2017

(WILTON/MOREAU, NY) — The Grant Cottage State Historic Site will hold a new volunteer orientation on Saturday, May 13 at the Cottage from 9 – 11 a.m.

Volunteers are needed to serve as tour guides, assist with group visitors, and help in the gift shop. Volunteers are needed to work from May until October, with flexible schedules.

Volunteer tour guides lead visitors through the Cottage where Ulysses S. Grant lived during the last six weeks of his life while completing his memoirs. New volunteers receive thorough training and shadow experienced volunteers.
