172 Circular Street and 125 High Rock Avenue
(The Mill)

History of 172 Circular Street – A fieldstone porch fronts this Arts and Crafts bungalow, built in 1914 for Robert Clark, Vice President of Clark Textiles. Currently, the property has 4 Bedroom, 2 Bath, hardwood floors, stone fireplace and a total of 2,562 square feet of living space. This stunning Craftsman was the “new kid on the block” surrounded stately Victorians. Clark wanted his new home to be close to his mill located two blocks away.
One hundred years ago, The Mill was one of the largest employers in Saratoga Springs with 450 employees. Later sold to Van Raalte and several subsequent owners it continued to operate as a mill until 1986. Vacant, deteriorating and subject to demolition, Tom Roohan and Sonny Bonacio purchased the property in 1999. A major undertaking and a $8+ million investment, The Mill is now beautifully restored and prime commercial office space.
