Gerard Wise Becomes Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)
Wise 1 of only 4 to hold designation countywide
Of the more than 150,000 commercial real estate professionals in the United States, only an estimated 6% hold the CCIM designation.
Currently, there are only four Certified Commercial Investment Members in all of Saratoga County…
and Gerard Wise, of Roohan Realty’s Commercial Services Department is one of them.
What is a CCIM?
A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate industry and recognized by the National Association of REALTORS®. Real estate professionals with this designation have exhibited proven expertise in financial, market, investment analysis and negotiation. To become a CCIM, applicants have to submit a portfolio of qualifying activities, transactions, projects and work products, along with extensive coursework and exams.
“Earning my CCIM designation was important to me because I want to be sure my expertise in commercial real estate is current and leading in the market,” says Wise.
What’s the benefit for clients?
A CCIM is an asset to commercial real estate owners, investors, and brokers alike, as they:
- minimize risk
- conduct sophisticated investment/market/financial analyses for commercial real estate
- have access to the CCIMNet commercial real estate exchange
- average 42% more closings per year than typical broker specialists
“Clients can look at the CCIM designation and know the individual holding it has proven themselves with real world transactional experience combined with essentially the equivalent of an academic masters level education in commercial real estate,” Wise explains.
“It also opens up access to an incredible tool box exclusive to CCIM’s to assist in analyzing deals, locations, demographics and more. Being a CCIM assures clients they are working with someone whose education and experience they can trust.”
