What are the home’s most valuable features for prospective buyers?

“The most valuable features of 2626 Donnan Road would be the size, top quality construction, and incredibly low taxes. This home was constructed with over 60,000 bricks and steel i-beams. It would be impossible to recreate this home in today’s market for this cost. Not to mention, this 10,000 square foot home features a full basement (2,800 square feet) and also a full attic which could be a 7th bedroom or media room (surround sound).”

How would you describe the home’s style or floor plan?

“The floorplan is pretty straightforward for a home of this size. The front foyer features a formal living area and dining area, and then a grand staircase upstairs to the three upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen is behind the large staircase, and has space for an eating area. Off of that is a living area with a huge fireplace and a Bose surround sound system. Off of one of the hallways is the home’s media room. The first floor master is on the other side of the home, and features a large walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with tub and stand up shower.”

Are there any unusual amenities?

“There is a lot of value in the totally private in-law suite above the garage. Right now, the seller rents it out for $800/month which covers his taxes for the year. It could be a great guest suite or living space for staff. Also, despite having a few different living areas, I have always thought it was cool to have a completely separate and isolated movie room, which this house has on the first floor.”

What’s your favorite thing about the property?

“My favorite thing about 2626 Donnan Road is the majestic nature of this home and private location. Featuring 18 acres, this property has the potential to be a large estate or a farm (if added on to). It would be hard to build this house anywhere else in Saratoga County and still maintain the relatively low taxes. Also, I think it’s pretty cool to have so much living space in between a full attic and a full finished basement. This home is perfect for a large or growing family!”
