2019 marks Roohan Realty’s 50th year in business! We would like to take you back to 1969 and share what was happening in the news – locally and nationally. We’ve been having a great time reading old newspapers and hope you enjoy seeing the historic Roohan Realty connections as much as we do. Community involvement and public service have been ingrained in our business from the very beginning – a commitment that continues today. Check back every Thursday for a fresh flashback to 1969!


1. This week in 1969 were the TV season premieres of:

Mannix, The Mod Squad, Red Skelton, The Jackie Gleason Show and 60 Minutes. Late night shows were Joey Bishop on 13, Merv Griffin on 10, and Johnny Carson on 6. The new shows’ premieres were Medical Center starring Chad Everett, The Governor and JJ starring Dan Dailey, Marcus Welby, MD starring Robert Young and James Brolin, To Rome with Love starring John Forsythe, The Bold Ones starring Leslie Nielsen and this Unique Series: Love American Style.
