2019 marks Roohan Realty’s 50th year in business! We would like to take you back to 1969 and share what was happening in the news – locally and nationally. We’ve been having a great time reading old newspapers and hope you enjoy seeing the historic Roohan Realty connections as much as we do. Community involvement and public service have been ingrained in our business from the very beginning – a commitment that continues today. Check back every Thursday for a fresh flashback to 1969!
1. Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Mr. and Mrs. Morris co-chair the United Community Fund campaign. They reside in Saratoga with their 4 children: William 15, Laura 13, Lona 10 and Eric 4.
2. St. Peter’s Annual Alumni Dinner
Robert D’Andrea, Saratoga County Supervisor, will be the toastmaster at the St. Peter’s Annual Alumni Dinner
3. Tom Roohan Passes The 8th Grade
St. Clements graduation is scheduled for June 20th. Tom Roohan is graduating from the 8th Grade.
4. St. Peter’s Update
Msgr. Burns to Retire effective June 20th. Rev. George Phillips will become the new pastor. Msgr. Burns has seen many of his dreams come true. One was the building of the $660,000 St. Peter’s High School (1956) and the debt for the school was paid in full in his Golden Anniversary Year, 1963.
5. The Belmont Ball

6. Union College Goes Co-Ed
Union College is joining a number of all male schools opening their doors to women students.
7. FLAG DAY PARADE!
The Elks Flag Day Parade is held on Flag Day (June 14th), starting at 6:00 PM.
