2019 marks Roohan Realty’s 50th year in business! We would like to take you back to 1969 and share what was happening in the news – locally and nationally. We’ve been having a great time reading old newspapers and hope you enjoy seeing the historic Roohan Realty connections as much as we do. 2. Adirondack Trust New VP

William T. Ashton is named Vice President of the Adirondack Trust Company, succeeding the late Charles W. Brackett who has served as a director since 1949. Ashton is President of  Ashton Companies Inc. and Ashton Fuel. He is also chairman of the board of the Saratoga Springs Community Hotel Corp., VP and member of the Board of Managers of the Saratoga Hospital, VP and director of the Saratoga Golf and Polo Club, and vice chairman of the Captial District Regional Planning Commission:

Robert LeCours, chairman of Saratoga Springs High School’s language department, will become the school’s new principal:

7. Goodbye Britten: Newspaperwoman, Historian & 1955 Woman of the Year

Evelyn Barrett Britten, Saratoga Springs Historian, newspaperwoman, civic leader and former Woman of the Year (1955), passes away at the age of 78:
