What are the home’s most valuable features for prospective buyers?

This house has very high ceilings on the first floor which is unusual for homes of its age. There is a wood burning masonry fireplace in the living room. There are two full baths, one on the first floor and one on the second. In the last 10 years, its been given a standing seam metal roof, new windows, water heater, updated baths, wiring, kitchen and driveway. All the heavy lifting has been done!

How would you describe the home’s style/floor plan?

This is a traditional Saratoga Springs two story home with tons of charm and loads of updates. There is a huge side yard that has been used by generations of owners for gardening. In addition to space for one car, the garage also has a workshop. The laundry is on the first floor and the kitchen is less than one year old.

Are there any unusual amenities?

The amenities are pretty terrific and include newer hardwood flooring on the first floor, except for the bathroom. Tiles baths, one with a walk in shower. The kitchen has solid surface countertops and stainless steel appliances as well as recessed LED lighting. There is a great rear deck perfect for backyard barbecues and Summer fun. Within walking distance to downtown, this home has it all.

What’s your favorite thing about the property?

My favorite thing about this house is its backstory. The home is being sold by the granddaughter of the man who built it. At one point in time there were three generations of her family living there; her mother, the owner and the owner’s daughter. It’s been kept up so wonderfully over the years, I think her grandfather would be very proud!
