Our family has done several transactions with Roohan Realty because of their generosity and commitment to veterans. When I met my partner, S, he was very down on his luck. A hard worker with a steady job, his divorce had left him in financial trouble and he was facing foreclosure on the house he’d raised his children in. Around that same time, Tom Roohan was looking to develop land on that street and contacted S about buying his property. After hearing S’s story and learning that he was an Army veteran, Tom not only purchased the property, but also arranged for S to continue living there at a below-market rent as a gesture of thanks for his service to our country. After about a year, S was back on his feet financially and able to find a new apartment. So when I was going through my own divorce and needed a real estate agency to help find a new home for my children and I, S told me about his experience and recommended Roohan Realty. I walked into the office and met Meg Minehan, who assured me she’d find us a place that we’d love. Shortly after, she found the perfect townhouse that I ended up buying. Fast forward three years and S and I just closed on a new house – this time together – again with the help of Roohan Realty. Their professionalism, generosity and commitment to helping others has been overwhelming. – J.P., November 2020
